Common questions, answered.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
In-stock orders placed before 6:00 AM ET Monday-Friday ship the same business day, as long as all items in the order are in stock. In-stock orders placed after 6:00 AM ET ship the following business day. Jane does not ship on weekends or U.S. federal holidays.
Made-to-order pieces ship according to the lead time shown before purchase. You can find this lead time on the product page, in your cart, at checkout, in your order confirmation email, and in a follow-up email if your order includes a made-to-order piece.
Your order will ship once all pieces are ready. If your order includes both in-stock and made-to-order items, you may request an early shipment of the in-stock items for a $20 split shipment fee by contacting the Concierge team.
During high-volume or holiday periods, please allow up to 3 business days for in-stock orders to ship.
Once dispatched, delivery time depends on the destination and shipping method selected at checkout.
How long will it take for my package to be delivered once it is shipped?
Jane offers Ground, Express, and Overnight shipping within the Continental U.S., U.S. territories, and P.O. boxes, plus International Economy and International Express shipping to over 150 countries.
You can view estimated transit times for your selected shipping method at checkout here. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking link and the carrier’s estimated delivery date.
Delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier delays, supply chain delays, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Where is the product's lead time shown prior to purchase?
The lead time for each Jane piece is shown before purchase on the product page, in your cart, at checkout, and in your order confirmation email.
For products with an extended lead time, you’ll also see a popup before adding the item to your cart so you can review and agree to the lead time before purchasing.
Jane shows lead times throughout the shopping experience so you know when to expect your order to ship before you place it.
What does “In Stock” vs. "Made to Order" mean?
“In Stock” means the piece is already made and ready to ship. “Made to Order” means the piece is made after purchase and will ship within the lead time listed on the product page.
Does an expedited shipping method mean my Made to Order piece will be produced faster?
No. Expedited shipping only affects the carrier’s transit time after your order has been completed, packaged, and shipped.
Made-to-order pieces still follow the lead time shown on the product page, in your cart, at checkout, and in your order confirmation email. All orders also follow Jane’s standard processing time before being handed to the carrier.
For example, Overnight Shipping means the carrier aims to deliver your package one business day after it leaves our facility—not one day after you place your order.
Is a signature required upon delivery?
A signature is required for orders over $500 USD. Orders under $500 USD usually do not require a signature, though the carrier may still require one at its discretion, especially for international deliveries.
Will my gift order include a packing slip with the price of the items?
No. Jane’s packing slips do not include pricing. Each shipment includes a packing slip with client information and a list of items in the package for security purposes.
To request an invoice, please contact the Concierge team.
For international orders, customs documents may be placed on the outside of the package and may include pricing if required by the destination country or carrier.
Are customs, duties and/or taxes included for international shipments?
No. Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and any other destination-country fees are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost at checkout. These charges are set by the destination country’s customs authority and are the client’s responsibility.
By placing an international order, you agree to act as the importer of record and comply with all destination-country laws, including payment of any required duties, taxes, or fees.
If you refuse delivery for any reason, your order will not be refunded, and you will be responsible for any return shipping costs and any costs to ship the package back to you again.
We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering.
