Some helpful tips

Wearing your jewelry

Your Jane jewelry is precious and requires care and attention. We recommend the following daily considerations, so that it is preserved as long as possible:

  • Be sure to handle your jewelry with care.
  • Remove your jewelry when washing your hands or using corrosive products that could permanently damage precious metal, stones or pearls.
  • Take your regular activities into consideration when wearing your jewelry, including potential for impact.
  • Keep your jewelry away from intense sources of heat and extreme temperature changes.

Storing your jewelry

  • Pieces of jewelry become scratched when they come into contact with one another. We recommend you to store them individually in the complimentary Signature Suede Dust Bag that you were provided at the time of purchase.
  • Chains should be closed and laid flat so as to avoid the formation of knots.
  • We strongly advise not to place several pieces of jewelry together without protection.

Maintaining your jewelry in prime condition

  • Your jewelry should be cleaned regularly. Regularly cleaning your pieces helps to avoid the residue buildup that can dull the original shine.
  • Brush the jewelry delicately with a very soft small brush in lukewarm soapy water, carefully rinse it in lukewarm water and wipe it with a soft cloth.
  • Ensure pieces are completely dry before storing.

14K & 18K Yellow Gold

Our fine jewelry made with solid 14K and 18K solid yellow gold can be worn during activities such as showering, swimming, or exercising.

14K White & Rose Gold

Gold Vermeil

Gold Vermeil (the French phenomenon pronounced ‘ver-may’) is a thick, long-lasting layer of 14K solid gold. Our vermeil is not to be confused with standard gold plating – we use 14K solid gold that is at least 2.5 microns thick as required by the Federal Trade Commission to label it vermeil, layered over rich 925 Sterling Silver. All in all, vermeil gold is a thicker layer of gold which makes it more durable than regular gold plating, so it's best suited to stand the test of time with proper care.

How to wear
While our vermeil is 500% thicker than standard gold plating, your pieces should ideally not come in contact with excessive sweat, water, or chemicals (such as lotions).

How to store
Always store your vermeil in a safe, dry place to prevent exposure to the elements. This will help to protect your pieces when they are not being worn.
