The Jane Signature Warranty is included complimentary with every U.S. purchase to stand behind the quality of your Jane piece. It provides coverage for rare genuine craftsmanship defects, reflecting our commitment to the integrity of our high-quality designs.
The warranty does not extend to cases including normal wear and tear, tarnishing, or damage caused by force or everyday use (such as soft chain damage).
Within the first 60 days from delivery, eligible items are covered by complimentary repairs for qualifying workmanship defects. After the 60-day period, or for concerns outside the warranty’s scope, we are always happy to assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping).
The Jane Signature Warranty provides coverage for authentic manufacturing and quality-related issues, including:
Piece(s) Arrived Damaged – Every piece is reviewed before dispatch to meet our strict quality standards. While rare, damage can occur by the shipping carrier in transit. All packages are insured, and any item that arrives with visible damage or defects from shipping will be repaired or replaced at no cost. Claims must be reported within 48 hours of the shipping carrier's recorded delivery time with photo proof to ensure the integrity of the claim.
Incorrect Piece(s) Received – While rare, if an incorrect piece, size, or design variation is received, it will be corrected at no cost. Claims must be reported within 48 hours of the shipping carrier's recorded delivery time with photo proof to ensure the integrity of the claim.
Clasp or Closure Malfunction – A clasp, hinge, or closure does not function as intended.
Stone Alignment or Security Issues at Delivery – A stone arrives loose, unevenly set, or misaligned at the time of delivery.
Porosity or Flaws in Metals – Structural or surface imperfections in the metal (such as air bubbles, cracks, or pits) that may affect long-term durability.
Repairs (or replacements as necessary) for covered issues will be provided at no charge within the 60-day warranty period. A complimentary pre-paid shipping label will be provided to return the piece and it will be shipped back to you free of charge. Two-way complimentary shipping is only valid within the original country the order was delivered to.
After the 60-day period, or for concerns outside the warranty’s scope, we are always happy to assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping). Please see further details in the next box.
The following examples are not manufacturing defects and are excluded from warranty coverage. Additional exclusions may apply beyond those noted below.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage or loss caused by delayed or neglected repairs necessary to preserve the piece over time.
Normal Wear, Tear, and Use – Jewelry may naturally show signs of wear over time, including surface marks from regular use. Coverage does not extend to lost stones, missing items, theft, accidental damage, or damage caused by improper cleaning or storage.
Metal Color Changes – Exposure to chemicals, heat, or environmental elements may cause precious metals to change in appearance over time. This includes contact with water, cleaning agents, perfumes, lotions, or other harsh substances. To help prevent tarnishing, please review our care guidelines at janejewels.com/care.
Expected Precious Metal Wear – Prongs and metal components gradually wear down with regular use. This natural thinning may loosen stones, placing them at risk of falling out. Such wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Loose or Broken Clasps – Clasps that become loose or break due to normal use, accidental force, or wear over time are not considered manufacturing defects and are excluded from warranty coverage.
Loss of Shape in Metals – With regular use, metal jewelry may bend or distort from pressure, impact, or everyday wear. Open-style rings and bangles are particularly susceptible to catching on objects and shifting out of shape. These changes are considered normal wear and are not covered by the warranty.
Damage to Delicate Chains – The warranty does not apply to broken fine or lightweight chains caused by pulling, snagging, stretching, or other external stress, as this type of damage is not related to manufacturing defects.
Stone Loss from Trauma or Impact – The warranty does not cover missing stones resulting from accidental impact, improper handling, or any form of external force or damage.
Third-Party Alterations or Repairs – If a piece is modified or serviced by any jeweler other than Jane—including repairs, resizing, soldering, refinishing, or resetting stones—the warranty will be voided.
While the above examples are not manufacturing defects as they can reasonably occur over the lifespan of all fine jewelry, and are therefore not covered by the Jane Signature Warranty, we are always happy to assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping). Please take a moment to read and understand our Jane Signature Warranty policies carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with Jane, you expressly agree to our Warranty Terms and Conditions in full as well as our Terms of Sale.
Proof and Inspection – All warranty claims require proof of purchase and submission of the item for inspection before any repair or replacement is approved.
Authorized Service Only – Repairs or adjustments must be performed by Jane's in-house Atelier team; third-party work will void warranty coverage.
Brand Discretion – Jane reserves the right to determine whether an issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect and to select the appropriate remedy.
Limitation of Remedy – Warranty coverage provides repair or replacement of the original item; refunds or exchanges are not offered.
Country-Specific Warranty Shipping – Complimentary return shipping for warranty repairs and replacements and free shipping of the repaired/replaced item back to the client is only available within the country where the original order was delivered.
The Jane Signature Warranty is a complimentary quality guarantee included with every U.S. purchase. It stands behind the craftsmanship of your jewelry and provides coverage for rare, authentic manufacturing and quality‑related defects. Within 60 days of delivery, qualifying pieces can be repaired or replaced at no cost. After the 60‑day period, Jane also offers repair services for a nominal service fee (plus applicable taxes and shipping).
What does the warranty cover?
The Jane Signature Warranty covers genuine manufacturing and quality‑related issues, including:
Damage in transit — items that arrive visibly damaged from shipping (must be reported within 48 hours with photo proof).
Incorrect item received — wrong piece, size, or variation (report within 48 hours with photo proof).
Clasp or closure malfunctions — clasps, hinges, or closures that don’t work as intended.
Stone issues at delivery — stones that are loose, unevenly set, or misaligned when you receive the piece.
Metal porosity or flaws — structural imperfections in the metal (like air bubbles, cracks, or pits) that could affect long‑term durability.
For covered issues reported within 60 days of delivery, Jane provides complimentary repair or replacement, including prepaid return shipping and free shipping back to you (within the original delivery country). After 60 days, similar repairs are available for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping).
What is not covered by the warranty?
The Jane Signature Warranty does not cover issues caused by normal wear, accidental damage, or external factors. Specifically, it excludes:
Normal wear and tear — scratches, surface marks, or gradual thinning of prongs and metal from regular use.
Metal color changes — tarnishing or discoloration from water, chemicals, perfumes, lotions, heat, or environmental exposure.
Damage from force or accidents — broken or bent metal, stone loss from impact, or damage to delicate chains from pulling, snagging, or stretching.
Loose or broken clasps caused by regular use or accidental force.
Loss or theft — missing stones or pieces due to improper handling or accidents.
Third-party alterations or repairs — any modifications, resizing, soldering, or repairs performed by a jeweler other than Jane void the warranty.
Neglected maintenance — damage or loss resulting from delayed or improper care.
While these issues are not covered under the warranty, Jane can assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping).
How do I submit a warranty claim?
If you believe you have a covered manufacturing issue within 60 days of delivery, go to the Returns & Warranty Center at returns.janejewels.com to submit a claim for review.
What happens after I submit a claim?
Once you submit your claim, Jane’s warranty team will review it to determine if it qualifies under the Jane Signature Warranty. If approved:
You’ll receive a prepaid shipping label to return the piece (within the original delivery country).
Jane’s in-house Atelier team will repair or replace the item at no cost.
The repaired or replaced piece will be shipped back to you free of charge.
If the claim is outside the 60-day warranty period or not covered, Jane can still assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus taxes and shipping).
How long do warranty repairs take?
Warranty repairs are handled by Jane’s in-house Atelier team, and the process typically takes 2–4 weeks from the time your piece is received. In some cases, depending on the complexity of the repair, it may take slightly longer.
Will I receive a refund or exchange under warranty?
No. The Jane Signature Warranty does not provide refunds or exchanges. Coverage is limited to repair or replacement of the original item if a manufacturing defect is confirmed.
Do I pay for shipping for warranty returns?
No. For approved warranty claims within the original delivery country, Jane provides a prepaid shipping label to return the item and ships the repaired or replaced piece back to you free of charge. For claims outside that country, return shipping costs may apply.
What if my piece is no longer covered by the complimentary warranty?
If your piece is outside the 60-day complimentary warranty period or the issue isn’t covered, Jane can still assist with repairs for a nominal service fee (plus applicable taxes and shipping). This ensures your jewelry can be maintained or restored even after the warranty has expired.
