Jane Sterling Silver

We use 925 sterling silver, a precious metal made from 92.5% pure silver, with an additional coating or rhodium for tarnish protection. Our lightweight, highly durable silver is ethically sourced and derived primarily from recycled sources.

Jane Gold Vermeil

Our vermeil is crafted with a 100% sterling silver base, plated in a thick, durable layer of 14k yellow gold at least 2.5 microns thick—over 500% thicker than standard plating and meeting official FTC guidelines. Hypoallergenic and brass-free, we use only recycled, ethically sourced gold.

Water Durability

Every Jane piece is thoughtfully crafted with the highest attention to quality. While our beloved Sterling Silver and Gold Vermeil are built to stand the test of time, it’s important to remember that those materials are naturally sensitive to exposure to certain environmental factors—such as water, sulfur or strong chemicals—and a patina can naturally develop over time. This is a normal characteristic of these materials and can be minimized with proper care by following our Care Guide and using the complimentary polishing cloth included with every purchase. We encourage mindful wear and care to preserve your Jane’s beauty. In terms of contact with water, our jewelry is thoughtfully crafted to handle the occasional splash, but for lasting beauty, we recommend keeping it away from water whenever possible.
